How to use this site

First of All is an easy to use website that allows you to join with others in prayer for our governmental leaders. We want you to participate by posting written prayers. Don’t Panic. The following sections will help you with a step-by-step to get going.

Register

If all you want to do on First of All is to view other people's prayers then you can skip the rest of this article. However we encourage you to join in, but before you do you must register for an account. Its easy:

1. Click here to sign up.
2. Fill out the form.
3. Read and agree to the Terms of Service.
4. Click the signup button.

WRITE A PRAYER

The first way you can start praying on First of All is to WRITE A PRAYER. Lets walk through this really quick

1. Go to First of All and make sure you are logged in.
2. Click on a picture of an official.
3. On the left hand side click the button that says "WRITE A PRAYER."
4. A simple form will open where you can type your prayer. Like Twitter you are limited to 140 characters, so keep it to the point.
5. When you're finished writing your prayer, click the "SUBMIT" button. This will close the form and highlight your prayer on the homepage.
6. Then click a different official and do it again.

Twitter Integration

First of All supports integration with your Twitter account. Don't know what Twitter is? It’s a free social network that gives you 140 characters to leave a status update. This is NOT required, but you can leverage Twitter's network to raise awareness and prayer for our governmental leaders. Follow these instructions to get a Twitter account and setup integration with your First of All account.

1. Go to http://twitter.com. (If you already have a Twitter account, skip to step 4)
2. Click the "Sign up now" button.
3. Complete the form and click the "Create My Account" button.
4. On the First of All site make sure you are logged in and go to your account page.
5. Click the link in the blue bar that says "Twitter".
6. Click the blue button that says "Setup Your Twitter Account". This will take you to an official Twitter page.
7. Type in your Twitter username and password and click the "Allow" button. You will then be redirected back to First of All.
8. Now when you WRITE A PRAYER there will be a "Post to twitter" check box. Each time you would like to post a prayer to twitter you must check that box.
9. Thats it! You have now integrated your Twitter account with your First of All account

REMINDER: Now when you check the "Post to twitter" checkbox there will be a "#jhop" (a unique signature that can be tracked on Twitter) added to your text. When you post that prayer on First of All, it will simultaneously post to your Twitter account.

Turning Twitter Off

Do you have Twitter integration setup but need to turn it off? Follow these instructions to to turn Twitter integration on and off.

1. On the First of All site make sure you are logged in and go to your account page.
2. Click the link in the blue bar that says Twitter.
3. Underneath your username, click the blue button that says "Turn Twitter Integration Off."
4. Your Twitter settings will be updated, and now when you look at the blue button it will say "Turn Twitter Integration On."

Edit Account Settings

Need to change your password? Your username? Email address? Its easy follow the instructions below.

1. On the First of All site make sure you are logged in and go to your account page.
2. Change any information that you wish, and click the "Update Account" or "Change Password" button.
